Boutique Shopping for Valentine's Day Gifts

Shopping for Valentine's Day Gifts

Here's another overall shot of the shoppers in the boutique
Shopping for Valentine's Day Gifts
The mannequin in the back was a table gift at the national convention in Pittsburgh.  This mannequin is outfitted with the Silken Flame repro fashion.

The pictures on the wall are cut from magazines, catalogs and auction catalogs.  When viewed from a distance, they do give the illusion of framed prints.

The bust on the counter was part of the boutique set from the early  80's.  The sunglasses are from a miscellaneous accessory set.  The wig is a vintage Fashion Queen wig.  The hat was part of the original boutique set.

The perfume bottles are filled with colored sands and capped with small corks.  These were a gift from my friend, Andrea.  They do look
like bath salts!  The tray underneath was found in a recent accessory package with tea service for two.

The gloves on the countertop were a gift from a miniatures swap.

The silver purse is from a recent Fashion Avenue outfit.

The silver clutch purse is one from the early 1970's.

The interior counter display is comprised of various BMR accessory pieces: shoes, gloves, purses, belts and glasses.

There is a great red paisley print scarf under the display setting.

The boutique pieces you see are from a store set purchased recently.  It was originally produced in the early 80's and I have been looking for the display cabinets for years.  It's very difficult to find enclosed display cabinets for fashion dolls these days!

This display case also carries the red color sheme but adds some navy for interest.

Again, some of the accessories and shoes were found recently in BMR accessory packs.  Kaybee Toys had three different color schemed sets on sale for $5.99 each.  Check your local stores.

Some of the shoes are from recent shoe accessory packages.  Check your local Dollar Tree store.  I have found several packages there.

The red hats are from the Silken Flame repro fashion.  The fixture pieces that hold the hats and jewelry were a part of the original display case, including the mirror on the countertop.

This bust also came with the store set.  The wig is a vintage Fashion Queen wig.  The sunglasses are found in one of the BMR accessory sets and the fur is from the Enchanted Evening repro fashion.

I created the perfume bottles from large beads.  Click HERE to view the instructions.

You can just barely see the McDonald's soda on the right corner of the countertop.  It was broken off a McDonald's ornament produced by Enesco in the late 90's.  Always look at ornaments for items that might be in scale for your scenes!

Behind the miniature Tiffany bag, you'll just barely see the back of the computer cash register.  It was a computer miniature found in a 101 Dalmatians figure package.

And there you have it!  Shop til you drop for Valentine's Day!
