The Toy Boutique

The Toy Boutique

Another close-up of the cashwrap counter gives you a chance to see many of the miniatures on the shelves.

The astronaut and spaceship pieces are from the John Glenn Shuttle Mission set produced in early 1999.  The Star Trek miniature was found in a set of several figures.  The Tonka toy truck was found in a Micro Machines set of three that includes the bulldozer held by Ken.

The car and army tank were also found in various packages of Micro Machine-type vehicles.

On the lower shelf, you'll find some Barbie boxes that appear as though they contain furniture from the late 70's.  These are produced by Farrow Industries and are usually found at miniatures shows. Hobby Builder's Supply offers this set for $4.99. It's listed as the Barbie Mattel Assortment Kit - 60308.  Look for it under Just for Fun in the Miscellaneous Toys section.

The gameboxes in the foreground are all keychains produced by Basic Fun.  They are still widely available at Toy's R Us and Target stores.

The Toy Boutique
What toy boutique would be complete without children to visit the stuffed animals.  Here you'll see various stuffed animals in miniature, found at doll shows, at Kaybee and Toy Liquidator stores, in the Valentine and Christmas sections of discount stores and craft shops.

The train set on the top shelf is a keychain, also produced by Basic Fun.  This one was purchased at Target.

The gumball machine is actually filled with candy.  I found this one at Albertson's Grocery store.

The sailboats were found in a set of four from the Dollar Tree stores in 1998.

The red wagon is a miniature Radio Flyer and was purchased at Michael's Craft stores in 1998.
