The Toy Boutique
Here's an overview shot. ![]() He's wearing a Fashion Avenue, perfect for winter shopping. ![]() The front and back counter was construced from a wooden box used to house liquor miniature bottles. Spray painted silver and the counter spray painted with the granite spray, it gives life to this counter. On the counter from left to right you'll find: a gumball bank (a magnet from the Dollar Tree Store), a miniature Danger Wil Robinson Robot from the Lost in Space collection (find this at your local Kaybee store); a miniature sailboat (found at the Dollar Tree Store in 1998), a vintage look Barbie box (click HERE for directions), a miniature jointed Gund Teddy bear (a gift from my friend, Sheryl), a Mystery Date game (made by Rebecca Brosdahl for the Atlanta 1998 national convention) and the cash register (a Christmas ornament purchased in 1997). ![]() The largest dollhouse was produced by Little Tykes and purchased in 1998. The small dollhouse was found at a minitures show in 1999. On top of the dollhouse is a doll case. I constructed this by covering two interior matchboxes with fabric and joined them with a piece of ribbon. They will house two miniature dolls easily. The play sink is a magnet found at the Dollar Tree Stores in 1998. The little dolls were also found in a necklace playset from the Dollar Tree Stores. The Barbie Knitting tube, the Nurse Kit, and the Skipper Schoolroom are all miniatures created and produced by Rebecca Brosdahl. If you get to the national convention, don't miss the opportunity to see her scale miniatures. In the small silver and pink wagon on the lower left front corner, you'll find popular Disney characters in miniature. These pocket miniature sets were widely available in 1998 and now can be found at times at the Dollar Tree Stores. |
