Rooms & Scenes

The Office

Office: Desk

This is the office setting. I found it at a toy store in Atlanta. It was hot pink in its former life.  You can tell how pink by the strip of pink above the keyboard drawer. This set included the keyboard, monitor, fax machine (on upper shelf) and the chair.  The cabinets do open as do two of three drawers.

I spray painted the desk setting in a light grey then, added the cork wallboard to the back of the workstation.

I cut Post-It notes in yellow, pink and blue and put them in various places on the workstation. I cut a small map of the USA from the Office Depot catalog and shaded it with colored pencils.

The tacks in the cork board are actually just straight pins with colored pearlized heads that I cut down with wire cutters.

Office: Desk from above

The computer program boxes are made from cutouts from the computer store ads in the Sunday newspaper.  I glued them to foamcore board.

The Tylenol and Elmers glue bottle were given to me by a friend on the net.

The greeting card was made from cutting the picture off some address labels and gluing it to the front of a folded piece of white paper.

The tissue box was given to me by a friend. To see a close up picture click click HERE.

The lamp, phone, stamp pad, feathered pen, desk blotter, address book, mirror, and plant were part of the Pretty Treasures Desk Collection by Mattel, purchased in late 1998.  But, Mattel reissued the desk accessories in a clear lavender hue in 1999.

The legal pad and assorted envelopes were printed from Jim Collin's Printables Website.

Office: Desk Accessories

The writing tablet was printed from Tracy's Dollhouse Website.

The shipping boxes directions can be found on my website by clicking HERE.

The daytimer/agenda book directions can be found here.

The trash can is just a 35mm film canister and the directions are here.

The scissors are actually a button found at Joann Fabrics. They are sold 2 per package for less than $1.50.

The Chinese food container was made from directions on Shellie's Minatures Website.

The menu was printed from Mr. Frog's Website.
