Halloween Party 1999

Halloween Party 1999

Here's the Halloween diorama I set up in October 1999.  This Halloween party included 26 guests.  Hope you find some unique settings and accessories to adapt into your own Halloween displays!!

I set this up on the dining room table. It started out as a centerpiece and gradually overtook 75% of the table.

The Halloween Bopsy (top left) was a customized creation from my best friend, Michelle B.  She and my friend, George, created the plum flapper doll (top, center).

The Scarecrow was a gift from my friend, Dorothy in AZ (right).

The Friendly Feline was a gift from my friend, Nancy Kella. (center, front).  The bag she's holding was constructed from printed scrabook paper with a candy corn pattern.

The Malibu Ken is dressed as a race driver.  He's wearing a Benneton Outfit from the early 90's and holding the Nascar Barbie's helmet.

The Tigress Barbie is part of the Target exclusive 1999.

The ghost is a vintage Skipper doll.  I just cut a piece of white fabric and strategically draped it over the doll adding the black felt eyes and nose/mouth.  Ghosts don't breathe, right?

The Vampire Ken was a swap I received in 1997.  He's holding a video camera to capture the whole party on film.

The Mummy doll was a Ken doll.  I ripped strips of ivory fabric and wrapped them around the doll and used fabric glue to secure the costume.

The Teresa is the Yellow Rose of Texas, though she's wearing a blue ensemble.  She was a gift from my friend, Allison.

You can barely see a Kelly doll by Teresa's feet.  She's been remade as a witch.  I found a small witch figurine at the Dollar Tree store.  After removing the outfit and redressing the Kelly doll, voila!  a perfect Witch!
