Sarah & Crystal's Italian Restaurant

Sarah & Crystal's Italian Restaurant

My friend, Carol's twin girls - Sarah & Crystal, who are diorama artists in the making, decided to redecorate a few rooms one afternoon.  They took the existing dining room and transformed it into an intimate italian restaurant.

The main pieces of furniture were found at a flea market, but were produced by Arco for Mattel.  The host stand and a great salad bar were included!

On top of the hutch, you'll see two small bottles.  These were purchased from an antique store and resemble Crown liquor bottles, but are perfume samples.  The wine rack is a magnet and included the bottles.

The salad bar actually came with many of the bowls and ingredients.  A bread basket was also included.

The cake and cake plate were found in a Kitchen Littles dessert or party set.

The restaurant signage also accompanied the furniture.

The victrola is a magnet and was purchased at the Dollar Tree store.  The violin was purchased as a Christmas ornament.  The small frame was a gift.

On top of the host stand, you'll find a gold tone phone.  This was included with the furniture.  The plant was found in the miniatures section of a craft store.

On the table, you'll find a great italian meal.  The spaghetti dish and french bread are part of a Kitchen Littles food set.

The martini glasses were found in the bridal section of a craft store.

The dessert souffles were found at Walmart during the holiday 1998 shopping season.  These were originally found as craft picks to liven up silk flower arrangements.  My thanks to my friend, Carolyn, who gave me the idea!

The plates were found at the Dollar Tree store in a toy set.  The candelabra was found in a furniture set purchased at Bradlee's, a discount store in the Washington, DC metro area, that sadly went out of business.
