The Bakery

The Bakery

For those who've traded messages with me, you know I've been talking about creating a bakery setting for some time.  Well, here it is!
The Bakery
The majority of the two- and three-tiered cakes I have constructed myself.  Click HERE for directions.

The dome over the cake in the front was created from the top to a prize capsule.  A pony bead glued on top makes a perfect handle.

The Bakery
Here's an overview of the top of the bakery cases.

On the left is a hunter green scale.  It's a magnet, purchased from the Dollar Tree store.  It's filled with some jelly-filled pastries.  I created these from Sculpey polymer clay.

The copper-toned cash register to the right of the scale, is one of those old-fashioned types.  It's actually a pencil sharpener purchased at a home furnishings store called, Trees N' Things, in 1999.

The pink box in the center contains pastries made by my friend, Jenn S.  She designed the box construction as well.

Barbie's wearing a Chef outfit made by Mattel. I found this one recently at the Big Lots store.

The Bakery
The back counter contains various acessories and food products.

The top shelf contains a mixer and an expresso maker, which are magnets purchased at the Dollar Tree Stores.

The tray of star-shaped cookies is also a magnet, found at most kitchen supply stores.

The fruit tart on the top shelf, and the pastries and sandwiches on the bottom shelf were made with Sculpey.

The lattice-topped pies on the second shelf were created from instructions in the Tiny Treasures book published by the Pleasant Company.

Most of the trays and utensils were found in the Mattel Bake Shop sold in 1999.
